Blank cream cards pinned with copper tacks on dark wood in the evening studio

How the month is laid out

The desk calendar is the list of sittings you can reserve. Each sitting has a fixed number of chairs. When those chairs are taken, the studio names the next date.

The week around a sitting

On the day before a group sitting, Elliot rules the prior high, low, and close on the sheets and pins the wall copy. Tuesday, when an intensive is running, belongs to the four-evening group. Wednesday is kept for private sittings. Thursday is the notebook clinic when one is listed. Saturday morning is the opening-range sitting when one is listed.

Days with no name on the calendar are dark. The room is prepared for the people who reserved, and the sheets are printed for them. A visit without a confirmed seat finds the door locked.

What to bring

  • The name of one market you already follow
  • A pencil, though there are spares in the jar
  • A notebook, if the clinic or a private sitting is the reason you are coming
  • A coat; the room is kept cool so the paper stays flat

Printed sheets are on the table when you sit down. A pencil from the jar is enough if you forgot yours.
